Kumbum Monastery Located in Roshar, Kumbum Monastery is one of the six great monasteris of Gelukpa of Tibetan Buddhism. It was founded to commemorate the birthplace of Tsonkhapa(founder of Gelukpa) in 1560, Over subsequent centuries, the monastery developed into a large complex. Yak Butter Sculpture, Fresco and Obliqued Embroidery are the Three Suprem Arts well-known throughout Tibetan area.
